RIG Consulting Inc. was selected to serve as the Prime consultant providing construction management and inspection services for Pittsburgh’s Urban Redevelopment Authority. RIG was assigned three distinct projects under the agreement.

Forbes Ave Sidewalk Widening - This project consisted of the construction of a new widened sidewalk (8-foot width including curb) and new deck curb along the southern portion of Forbes Avenue (between Smithfield Street and Market Square) which consisted of, but was not limited to: utility coordination/adjustments; curbs; sidewalks; pavement markings; and signage.

412 Boulevard of the Allies Vault Abandonment - This project entailed filling and abandoning an existing subsurface vault beneath the sidewalk at 412 (formerly 420) Boulevard of the Allies. The work consisted of building a wall between the vault and the basement to retain the fill; removing or relocating utilities and other services within the vault area; removing the sidewalk; filling the void with flowable fill; water proofing; and replacing the sidewalk, ADA ramps and curbing.

4th Ave Street Lighting Project - This project included new street lighting on both sides of Fourth Avenue between 200 Fourth Avenue and Smithfield Street. Work included removing existing lighting and foundations; installation of new foundations and poles; new electrical conduit runs; and sidewalk and roadway restoration.
